It is important that if you are substituting units (adding and withdrawing at the same time) you will not be able to enrol in more than 60 credit points per semester (or 24 credit points for per teaching period if you are enrolled in the 6TP1-6 teaching periods such as MBA students). In this case, you may need to withdraw from a unit before enrolling in a new unit.

Use the Withdraw Units portlet on the Online Enrolment portlet to do so.

The withdraw units portlet is located within the online enrolment portlet

Choose Withdraw to withdraw from a unit or choose Change to change to a different offering of a unit.

Once you have chosen to withdraw you will be prompted either to Submit the change or to Reset the process without withdrawing the unit.

After choosing to withdraw a unit you will be prompted to submit or cancel

Note: You cannot withdraw from all units in the first instance. You must remain enrolled in at least one unit at any given time or you will be discontinued.

If you wish to apply for a leave of absence in a future teaching period you must complete an L Form, you cannot apply by withdrawing units in QUT Virtual.

A pop-up will appear once your withdrawal has been submitted.
