Using QUT Virtual to enrol online

QUT Virtual is your personal web portal to the University’s main online services and resources. View a video overview of QUT Virtual

You need to submit your enrolment program via the Online Enrolment portlet on the Study page in QUT Virtual. The steps below explain how to submit your enrolment. Click 'Show me' for further information about each step, then click 'back' to continue working through the list.

If you need assistance at any time when completing online processes phone QUT Information Services on 07 3138 2000.

Log in to QUT Virtual Log in to QUT Virtual
You will need your username and password located in the top-right corner of your offer letter. Set your browser to allow pop-up windows before you continue.

Navigate to the On-line Enrolment portlet in the Student Services tab Navigate to the Online Enrolment portlet on the Study page
Once you've logged in, the first screen you see is the Quickview page, which contains features such as important messages and your personalised calendar. Now go to the Study page in the navigation bar and find the Online Enrolment portlet. Accept the conditions of use and read the welcome message.

Complete your eCAF Complete your eCAF
Commonwealth supported students - before you can use on-line enrolment you must complete your electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF).

Depending on your course you may need to nominate a major, accept or reject a pre-defined standard unit enrolment.

Find your course summary sheet link.

Complete further options if they are presented Check and correct your course completion date
In the Change Course Completion portlet check your course completion date (the date you expect to graduate) and amend it if necessary.

Add units to your enrolment Add units to your enrolment
In the Add Units portlet, enter your chosen units for the entire academic year. Remember to consult your course summary sheet.
Hit SUBMIT to record your enrolment.

Withdraw from units if necessary Withdraw from units if necessary
In the Withdraw Units portlet, withdraw from units if needed.
Hit SUBMIT to record your changes.
Note: You cannot withdraw from all units in the first instance. You must remain enrolled in at least one unit at any given time.

Confirm your enrolment Check your enrolment
Check your enrolled study program in either the Online Enrolment portlet or the Current Unit Enrolment portlet.

Update your personal details Update your personal details
On the Personal Information page check your mailing address and personal and statistical details and update where necessary.

Update your personal details Choose your class times
Once you have enrolled, you may be able to choose lecture and tutorial times for your units through the Class Timetable portlet on the Study page.
